Do you make games? GiTD (Game in Ten Days) might be right for you.

You have 10 days to make a game based on a chosen theme revealed on the start day. When the 10 days are over, users will vote on the best submission. The developer with the most votes wins of course. Check out the Kongregate GiTD #24 thread for more information.

This time, GiTD’s theme is Only One Level. The theme is up to interpretation, but be wary of your idea. The point isn’t to make Pong and call it only one level of course. :D

ProfusionGames will also be attempting to participate in this jam, by modifying an idea that we were possibly going to use for a future game, called miniQuest. Hopefully we can get a lot done for this project and submit it in time. The technical effects and game mechanics miniQuest calls for seems challenging, so I hope we are up for it. I’ll be updating the blog periodically with samples of the game.

Oh, and last but not least, prizes for the competition are some Kreds (for Kongregate if you have an account) and if more than 10 submissions are entered, then I will buy the winner K+.

Hope to see you there!

Ninja Sequence has been uploaded to FGL for bidding. We’ve decided to skip all the feedback time on FGL since we didn’t get much during Tribulation’s bidding time that was any different from the outside testing. We spent a few hours polishing it up today which we hope will improve the game’s value by at least a little bit. With Tribulation at $xxx (haven’t asked sponsor if we can release the sponsorship value and conditions), we are aiming for at least triple or more. Personally, I hope to hit $3k with this project.

Ninja Sequence has beat Tribulation by a ton in development time. Tribulation was built in about 3 months from the first idea, while Ninja Sequence took just over 1.5 months. With this improved dev time, thanks a lot to FlashPunk, I think we can start outputting many many more games per year and improve our revenue stream.

Tribulation has been sold to Boltz Games (via FlashGameLicense.com), a fairly nice portal that I’d actually never heard of before. It should be out sometime within the next week, since the bid terms were completed yesterday. Its already surpassed the combined revenue of all our previous games just in the sponsorship alone! Lets see if we can keep the game rolling with it becoming our highest played game, which I don’t think is a problem.

We hope to have a good diagram of the statistics collected in the game soon as well as when and where players were from and how the sponsorship went.

Tribulation is awaiting pre-review on FGL now. Its been up for a week now and only 2 games have finished the queue and there are still 19 more in front. Hopefully not much more waiting.

We also finally picked an icon and a description we think go well with the game.
